Description

Air tents 8 man

The Zonda 8EP provides a very large living area and is a great tent for up to eight people. Whether you are having a longer weekend break or an extended family holiday the 8EP air tent is the perfect choice.  For such a large tent it is straightforward to pitch and also easy to pack thanks to the oversize tarp-style bag and comprehensive tips and instructions. Once folded simply roll the tent into the bag, tighten the compression straps, pull the draw strings and you are done.

â–º We’ve made the living area light and airy with large tinted windows which come with adjustable privacy curtains. The air tent is well vented for comfort when it’s warmer, with adjustable air vents down the sides of the living and bedroom areas and additional insect proof mesh panels on the side doors and inner windows.

â–º There’s a fully sewn in groundsheet in the main area to keep drafts and bugs away, while the detachable bathtub style groundsheet in the extended porch (EP) provides lots of options for how you can use this area whatever the weather.

â–º The three bedroom compartments are made from a carefully selected black fabric to help stop early waking, with removable partitions dividing the ‘rooms’.

â–º It’s easy to use your lighting and gadgets – with lantern hanging points and twin electrical hook up access on either side of the tent which mean you don’t need to worry about where you pitch in relation to the hook up point at the campsite.

â–º These air tents use 12cm large diameter Air Flex inflatable poles, which provide excellent stability and are easily inflated with the supplied slim-line double action hand pump. A comprehensive repair kit and inflation valve tool are included for convenience.

â–º The red webbing end guy lines are easy to see and help pitching, reflective side guy lines are quiet in use and provide added security in blustery conditions.

â–º Should the weather be a little less than kind the tent will keep you dry. The flysheet is made of a robust 150 Denier Ripstop Polyester fire retardant fabric which is factory seam taped and waterproof tested to 6000mm Hydrostatic Head.

A lightweight and extremely robust tent which has two huge porches. I was recently sea kayaking and found the porches extremely useful when storing wet kit, whilst keeping the inside dry. It’s a very easy tent to pitch, with three poles all the same length, can be used free standing and was the envy of everyone other paddler. It would also be ideal for bike packing, mountaineering and wild camping.

Purchased after much research and I have not been disappointed. Very easy to pitch and quick to pack away. I have used it in all four seasons in the UK, including high winds, driving rain and well below zero and it has held up flawlessly. I am 5ft 9" and can sit up in the middle, can easily get changed and store my kit - the storage area accessed by the small zipped door is brilliant! I would highly recommend this tent.

Ive found this tent to be very easy to erect, and very roomy. I like the two door design but actually rarely use both mainly the vestibule door. IMO its not big enough for a two man tent especially with inflatable mats, but is excellent as a 1 man solo tent. Plenty of room for boots and gear in the tent and vestibule. It does get more condensation on the inside of the fly than I expected as there is good mesh in tent and a vent area on top. but its not a massive problem. Overall an excellent tent well made and robust,

Can't fault this tent - lasted perfectly in 50+ mph winds and 12-14" of rain in 24 hours in the Icelandic Highlands. While other tents were flapping and struggling, this stayed as solid as a rock and comfortable inside.

The tent is not only small and super light, but you can pitch it in around 5-6 minutes. It’s also simple to fold back as well. Nice front porch and loads of room for one person. Perfect for wild camping and backpacking. Highly recommend.

I have owned this tent for over a year and is my go to for multi-day hikes. It's easy to setup and packdown; the inner and outer can be setup at the same time to prevent the inner getting wet; and, it's durable and feels sturdy in windy conditions. My only jipe is that the regulators on the flysheet come loose pretty quickly. I don't know if I have misinterpreted the way they should be used, but I have resorted to a temporary fix as I can't get them to hold and will likely replace them with third party ones that have a better friction grip.

Nice strong solid tent that lasted my girlfriend and I well during a year long cycle tour from the USA to Colombia. It is fine for UK climate in the great outdoors where you can peg it out. When touring we found it is absolutely not free-standing and I feel pretty mislead by the description. If you don’t peg out the corners then you can’t really sleep inside, so it does stand up but is not useful until pegged out as the inner is loose all around you. You will be getting wet if you don’t peg it. When pitching on concrete where you can’t you need to tie out the corners some other way, we used our bikes and panniers sometimes. It’s very warm and waterproof and it held up well in some big storms. In the heat and humidity of Central America it was just too hot, and because you can’t pitch it with the inner only it meant we couldn’t use the tent at all for 4 months as it was too hot to sleep inside. We bought the footprint which has lots of holes now and has protected the main tent floor well from thorns and spikes in the desert. Strangely the footprint is a slightly different shape to the tent so the pegging out points don’t quite line up. This means if you don’t get it perfect, rain will run off the outer, land directly on the footprint and then pool between the tent floor and the footprint so that was another frustration having paid extra for it. All in all it did the job for us as we had no other choice having blown our budget on this. It’s much too late to return, but I wouldn’t recommend this tent for a similar trip. If you are staying in the Uk, and will always camp on grass then it is ideal. We will keep it for car camping and I’m sure it will last us a few more years.

I bought my Quasar in 1987 aged 15, some 37 years ago, from High Sports in Shrewsbury (*No longer in business). Where my Quasar has not been. Anyway am here looking for a new one for my 21 year old son. You'll not find a more durable tent. I consider it to be lightweight, and spacious.
Voyager
Hans S  -  October 5, 2024
I bought my Voyager in 2004 and am still using it regularly. It is my primary tent and it does everything, from car camping to above the snowline in the mountains. It has withstood everything the mountain weather has thrown at it: heavy rain, snow & wind. It is tight for 2 people, but fortunately neither me or my wife are super tall. With only one door, it can get hot & stuffy in higher temperatures, but as a light weight shelter against adverse weather I cannot fault it. The seam tape on the flysheet is now pealing off, but after 20 years that is not a major issue. Just needs some seam sealant to be good to go for several more years. Very happy with my purchase!

I have used this tent about 6 times this year. The latest being 3 nights in the lake district during storm Bret . The tent endured freezing temperatures, snow ,rain and 60mph winds without any problems at all . It is a great tent for just myself with bags of room, great ventilation and very sturdy.

It was love at first pitch. So fast and easy to pitch with its single pole design. Ones you add the trekking poles it becomes a tank of a tent. There is plenty of space inside and the two vestibules gives you so much flexibility. I have used it several times now out in the Peak District it all sorts of conditions and it’s taken it all in its stride. Can’t wait to get out in it again.

I've had this tent for just over 2 years, possible three. and use it every time i go camping. It packs away small, is 2.3 kgs and i love it. Cooking in the porch is the best feature.

My 86 and a half year old dad, an ex RAF Moutain Rescue chap, loves them. He can no longer walk up the fells but gets extreamly cold hands in the house. Since he got a pair for Christmas he's been wearing them most of the time, in and out, and has warmer hands. They were particularly great during the 8 odd inches of snow we had in Cumbria. Ta loads

As someone who is regularly cold and has to wear several pairs of socks, I can honestly say these are the warmest socks I've ever owned! No need to layer up as they're super warm on their own and so soft and cosy on the skin!
